Dan Feickert - Head Coach

Dan Feickert is a 2012 graduate of Elkhorn High School that played football and basketball for the Antlers. He was a varsity assistant coach at EHS for 5 years before being hired as head coach in 2021. Feickert played college football at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with a degree in Social Sciences Education. Feickert currently teaches Social Studies at Elkhorn High School. Dan is married to his high school sweetheart, Taylor, and they have two children August (6) and Faye (3). Coach Feickert is super excited for the future of Elkhorn Football!

James Rosenbaum - Varsity Assistant

James Rosenbaum is a 2000 graduate of Elkhorn High school where he competed in football, basketball and track. He was a WR/DB for the 1999 state championship football team. James attended college at University Nebraska-Kearney graduating with a construction management degree and played safety for the Loper football team. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie and they have three boys, Hunter, Jax and Graham. James coached freshmen football for 8 years and spent the past 5 years coaching JV/varsity basketball for the Antlers as well. James is looking forward to being back on the football staff again.

Jens Gregory - Varsity Assistant

A 1992 graduate of Elkhorn High School, Coach Gregory quarterbacked the Antlers from 1989 to 1991. Afterward, he attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where he participated in Marine Corps Reserve Officer Training. In 1996, he became a commissioned officer and served on active duty in the Marines for four years. In 2006, he joined Elkhorn High School's staff as an English teacher. Starting as a volunteer coach, he eventually became a full assistant, coaching receivers, defensive ends, and offensive line during the nine years he was on staff. Coach Gregory is married to the former Rebecca Graham, a fellow EHS grad, and they have three young hard-chargers who will join their parents as Antlers, Eve (16), Ivan (14), and Ellen (13). Coach Gregory coaches Linebackers and Running backs.

Kyler Beekman - Varsity Assistant

Kyler Beekman is a 2019 graduate of Elkhorn High School. Beekman was a 3-sport athlete for the Antlers particpating in football, basketball, and baseball. Kyler was a standout defensive end and center during his time on the gridiron while also contributing to a Class-A state tournament qualifying basketball team. Kyler was a great pitcher for EHS throughout high school and he carried his passion into a college baseball career at Doane University from 2020-2024. Kyler graduated from Doane with a degree in special education in 2024 and currently teaches at Elkhorn Middle School. Kyler coaches offensive and defensive line for the Antlers.

Jake Anderson - Varsity Assistant

Jake Anderson is a 2008 graduate of Elkhorn High School that played football and ran track.  Jake attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating with degrees in both Biology and Psychology.  In 2020, he began his high school football coaching career at Elkhorn North with the freshman team. Jake currently does personal training for both adults and geared towards young athletes.  He is excited to join the staff and looking forward to the upcoming season. Coach Anderson will coach QBs.

Jake Zeplin - Varsity Assistant

Jake Zeplin is a 2018 graduate from Skutt Catholic High School. Zeplin played football for Skutt Catholic as a WR and DB throughout his years. Zeplin then went on to play DB at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD where he also pursued an Education career in Health and PE. Zeplin has taught both Health and PE along with being an assistant football coach and weight room coach at Roncalli Catholic High School for the past year and a half. Zeplin will be teaching at one of the new elementary schools in Elkhorn as a PE teacher this upcoming fall. Jake is engaged to his high school sweetheart, Becca, and they will be getting married this summer. Jake is excited to be a part of the EHS football coaching staff this year! Zeplin will coach wide receivers and defensive backs for the Antlers.

Casey Winings (9th)

Casey Winings works in the Young Adult program as a Life Skills Special Education teacher for Elkhorn Public Schools. Casey has previous experience as a head football coach in Schuyler, NE, and has also been a varsity assistant at EHS duCasey Winings works in the Young Adult program as a Life Skills Special Education teacher for Elkhorn Public Schools. Jeff Maas (9th)

Jeff Maas lives in Elkhorn with his wife and three children.  He has taught Industrial Technology at Elkhorn Middle School for the past 6 years where he was also the 7th Grade Head Football Coach. Jeff is also an assistant Wrestling and Track (Long Jump/Triple Jump) Coach at Elkhorn Middle School.  He is excited to have the opportunity to work with the youth in the Antler community.

Assistant Coach emeritus: John Bacus

John Bacus coached thousands of athletes at Elkhorn High School over his career of 48 years before his official retirement in 2025. He is a graduate of Kearney State College and played football and basketball for the Lopers. John spends his free time umpiring baseball games and playing trivia. Coach Bacus coached quarterbacks at EHS and retains his title as the resident historian of Elkhorn Football. Don't be surprised if you see him around the program helping with summer camp, charting stats in the box, or stretching on the field.
